I dusted off some of my old New York Housewives’ blogs and saw that the post about the last reunion was written on October 16, 2012.  That’s how long we’ve waited for the new season.  So it starts tonight and there have been a couple of cast changes.  The Countess is now just a “friend” of the Housewives, most likely because she asked for a jewelry allowance.  There’s also a new Housewife, Kristen Taekman, who happens to be a friend of Brandi Glanville’s.  Her tagline is “I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I’m prreeetttyy.”  Brandi must have helped her write that one.

In previews, we’ve seen a prosthetic leg lying on the floor and Sonja’s teeth  falling out.  Aviva and Carol have written books and the ladies take some trips.  In real life, Ramona is in the middle of some marital strife – apparently Mario didn’t take those vow renewals quite as seriously as his wife did.  Heather is doing what Heather does – running her business and caring for her hearing-impaired son.

I found a few blogs I wrote about two of the Housewives, and one of their fathers, that explained how I saw them at the time.  I’m going to put them here and see if I (we?) still feel the same way at the end of the season.
